i'm beginning to realize that there are multiple ways to describe/explain/show a place. this is only one tiny piece of the town where i was born and raised. these are pictures of the path my parents take every evening to walk the dog in deKalb, IL. oh and side note: spring is just arriving to the midwest.

something new...

i was halfway through studying for my comprehensive exams when i started to feel as though i had "lost" myself. i had no hobbies, and i was dedicating about 90% of my time to reading and working. at one point i couldn't remember what it was that i liked doing... and then i remembered that i'd always liked taking pictures. so, having concluded the comps chapter of my life, i treated myself to my fantasy camera. this blog is a challenge to myself to document my surroundings through a different medium...
